2022 FOREVER TOURNAMENT INFORMATION / RULES

Entry Fee: $120 per team ($60 per player)

Format: Match Play (Four-ball) - Single Elimination Tournament

** Matches are to be played within each month (round 1 in July, round 2 in August, etc...). If teams are

finding it hard to schedule a time to play a full 18-hole match within the month, then teams have the option

to agree to a different means of completing their match. For instance, if teams can only find time to play a

9-hole match, then a 9-hole match can be used to determine a winner. Any method of completing a match is

acceptable, as long as both teams agree to it.

** Matches must be completed by the last day of each month. If a match is not completed by the last day of

the month, then there will be a coin toss initiated to determine a winner. Obviously no one wants a winner

determined by a coin toss, so we strongly encourage teams to communicate with one another and find a

way to settle the match out on the course. As mentioned above, a match can be completed by any means as

long as both teams agree to it.

** Tiebreakers: If a match is tied after all regulation holes have been played, the match will go into a sudden

death playoff starting on hole #1. If the match is still tied after hole #1 the match will continue on to hole #2

and so on until the tie is broken.

Handicaps: Players will receive their full playing handicap. Handicap indexes as of July 1st will be used to

calculate each player’s playing handicap. This will be the handicap used for each player for the duration of

the tournament.

Player Points: All players will earn 30 participation points towards MGA Player of the Year standings.

** Teams must have paid the entry fee prior to playing their first match.

** All putts must be holed unless conceded by the opposing team.

** Play the ball as it lies, including bunkers. Otherwise please observe all USGA and local rules.
