2023 Forever Tournament

Entry Fee: $160 per team ($80 per player)

** Teams must have paid the entry fee prior to playing their first match.

Format: Match Play (Four-ball) - Single Elimination Tournament

-- Four-ball Match Play: The best ball (score on a hole) of a team of 2 will be counted each hole. The best score (net) on a hole will win the hole for the team. 

** Matches are to be played within each month (round 1 in July, round 2 in August, etc...). If teams are finding it hard to schedule a time to play a full 18-hole match within the month, then teams have the option to agree to a different means of completing their match. For instance, if teams can only find time to play a 9-hole match, then a 9-hole match can be used to determine a winner. Any method of completing a match is acceptable, as long as both teams agree to it.

** Matches must be completed by the last day of each month. We strongly encourage teams to communicate with one another ASAP and find a way to settle the match on the course. As mentioned above, a match can be completed by any means as long as both teams agree to it. If the match is not completed by the end of the month, the MGA Tournament Committee will review why the match was not completed and determine which team will move on, obviously nobody wants this to be the outcome!

Tiebreakers: If a match is tied after all regulation holes have been played, the match will go into a sudden death playoff starting on hole #10. If the match is still tied after hole #10 the match will continue on to hole #11 and so on until the tie is broken.

Handicaps: USGA Net - stroke off low. The lowest handicap within the match will play at scratch. The other players in the group will receive 100% of the difference between their playing handicap and the low handicap. Handicap indexes used will be as of 6/26/23.

Player Points: Players will earn 30 points towards MGA Player of the Year standings for each round they win through the first 3 rounds (150 points possible).
